Message from the Principals |
Dear Parents: The time between Thanksgiving and Winter Break seems to fly. It’s usually three weeks, and they are the speediest three weeks during the entire school year. Learning takes on a different tone during these three weeks. Teachers embrace the holiday feel and rooms are full of crafty projects, hot chocolate, and paper snowflakes, all embedded into learning. It would be great if we could bottle up some of this energy and save it to sprinkle in the slow months. The holidays offer us many opportunities so take a minute to slow down and notice the feel in the air around you. Stepping out of our own busyness can sometimes help us see and appreciate those little things that get lost in the bustle. With that, we’d like to stop and give a shout out to our music teachers. We are appreciative of the work they do in preparing our students for their Winter Concert that you hopefully will enjoy today! A big thank you to the parents who contributed to LAEF this year for making today’s Winter Concert possible. Warmest regards, Erin S. Green and Kami Thordarson |
